Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj told MPs today that with next year’s budget, economic growth from 2020 to 2020 is predicted to be around 4%.
According to the minister, economic growth in 2020 is expected to be 4.1% and for the following two years, this growth is expected to be 4.5%. Meanwhile, the minister also said that unemployment rate is predicted to go down to 10.6%.
“There will be more economic growth and important reforms. Unemployment will drop to 10.6% in 2020. Many sectors of the economy have seen a growth. Tourism this year saw a very good performance”, the minister said.
The government’s objective is to reduce public debt by 1.5% next year and this will bring public debt down to 62.2%. Budget deficit for 2020 is expected to be 1.6% of GDP, marking the lowest level of the past two decades. TemA
