Albanian nationals who travel to Balkan countries will pay less on their mobile. The new charges have seen a decrease of up to 97%. The implementation of the agreement for the reduction of roaming charges in the region, which was signed on 4 April in Belgrade by 6 members of Western Balkans, has started in July this year.
Initially, the reduction of roaming charges started in June between Albania and Kosovo and the biggest beneficiaries of this reduction were citizens of Kosovo, who visit Albania for their holidays.
The reduction of charges includes all services and by 2021, roaming charges will be scrapped. This means that when a person travels to the countries of the region, he will not have to pay any extra roaming charges.
After this, procedures will start to scrap roaming charges with the EU countries. TemA
