The UN has released its latest report on e-government and digital government. Based on this report, Albania has scored the same points as Canada leaving behind countries such as Italy, Switzerland and Greece.
The head of the Albanian National Information Society Agency, Linda Karçanaj has made an analysis of the country’s ranking in this report.
“The improvement in the ranking has been achieved through two indicators: e-services and e-participation. As far as e-services are concerned, in 2018 we ranked 62nd and in 2020 we rank 31st. In just two years, our ranking has improved by 31 positions and we are positioned the same as Canada while we leave behind countries such as Italy, Switzerland, Greece, etc.
As far as e-participation is concerned, in 2018 we ranked 61st and on 2020 we rank 36th, an improvement of 25 positions in the ranking”, says Karçanaj. TemA
