Serbian media have reported that the number of people who have already received the first coronavirus jab is now 1 million. According to state news agency, Tanjug, more than one million people have so far received the first dose of the vaccine, while 356,010 people have already received the second jab.
Serbia is the second country in Europe and seventh country in the world for the number of people per 1 million inhabitants to have received the jab. The inoculation programme there started on 9 January.
So far, Serbia has received 1,5 million vaccine doses from Chinese company Sinopharm, 19,500 doses from Pfizer and 250,000 doses from Russian company, Sputnik V. TemA
