The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha has agreed to the demands made by the international community to negotiate dialogue between political sides in Albania.
In a Q&A with journalists, Basha said that in order for dialogue to take place, PM Rama must resign and an interim government must be formed.
“I welcome their engagement in solving the crisis in the country. The Democratic Party is ready to be involved in a real political process with the help of the international partners. Edi Rama’s resignation is the key to this political process.
Once an interim government is formed, then we’re ready to discuss other aspects of deep reforms which will never allow a political force to hold the country to ransom”, Basha said.
Meanwhile, the opposition leader also issued a warning for judges who imprison protesters, while considering the latter as political prisoners.
