The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha had a meeting on Tuesday with representatives of several businesses located alongside the highway linking Tirana to Durres. During the meeting, the democrat leader commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama’s statement that the government will increase minimum monthly wage if it’s voted for a third term in office.
The democrat leader said that the Democratic Party’s plan aims at taking the country out of the crisis. According to him, Rama must apologise before leaving power.
“It’s easy to say that minimum wage will be increased. But who will pay the extra contributions? If businesses face extra costs, then they will not employ any more people. Cutting social contributions by 8% is the answer to this and it’s a win-win situation for citizens, businesses and the state,” Basha said.
Meanwhile, the democrat leader also said that as soon as his party comes into power, it will reduce electricity charges. TemA
