Foreign investments went up in the first half of 2019

Foreign direct investments grew in the second quarter of the year. According to figures released by the Bank of Albania, in the second quarter of the year, foreign entrepreneurs invested 226 million euros or 8 million euros more than the same period a year ago.

For the first half of the year, the value of foreign direct investments was 512 million euros.

The biggest investment of the recent years is the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline. The investment for the construction of the pipeline network in Albania amounts to 1.5 billion euros. Meanwhile, the other biggest investment is the network of hydro-power plants being built on Devoll river by Statkraft company.
