Despite the increasing number of foreign tourists, tourism in Albania is still far from acting as a dynamic economic sector.
Data released by the country’s office for statistics, INSTAT, suggest that tourists spend an average of 4.3 days in Albania, while spending an average of 52 euros per person a day.
76% of tourists prefer to stay in hotels, and more than 81% rent a private car as means of transportation.
Albania is mainly visited by tourists from neighbouring countries, such as Kosovo, North Macedonia, Greece, Montenegro and Italy.
Meanwhile, the number of Polish holiday makers has decreased this year due to a rise in the price of holiday packages. TemA
