Interior minister, Sander Lleshaj declared today in parliament that the situation in the country as far as crime statistics are concerned is better than ever. The minister was called in parliament to answer MPs questions as far as crime numbers in the country are concerned.
“I can assure you that law and order in the country is at its best if we take into account the number of murders, serious crimes, road accidents and other elements. The average number of murders in Albania in the past 10 years has been 85. In 2019, this average was 30 murders below the average of the past ten years. It’s the best situation we’ve ever seen, but it’s still far from the crime rate that a safe country must have”, Lleshaj told MPs. TemA
