The minister of Interior Affairs, Sander Lleshaj has reacted today by denying the opposition’s accusations that Albania registers a criminal event each day.
Lleshaj told MPs that the country is registering the lowest number of murders in history, while adding that there are EU member countries where homicide rate is “two times higher”.
“It’s not true that there are murders every day. We have the lowest number of murders in history. We have fewer murders than five years ago. There are EU member states with twice or three times more murders than we have. As long as we have freedom, there will be crime”, the minister said. TemA
