Osmani: Serbia’s road to EU should go through justice institutions

Kosovo Assembly Speaker Vjosa Osmani paid tribute to 138 Albanians killed by Serbian forces in the village of Qyshk 21 years ago.

“Two decades on, the wounds of this massacre have not healed yet,” Osmani said adding: “There can be no sustainable peace without convicting perpetrators. For Serbia the road to EU should go through justice institutions.”

The Qyshk massacre  was the killing of 138 Kosovo Albanian civilians, all men aged 19 to 69, by Serbian security forces, the Yugoslav Army and paramilitaries on 14 May 1999 during the Kosovo War
