Parliament elects Chief Justice Inspector

Artur Metani has been elected by Parliament as Chief Justice Inspector.

Up until now, Metani has served as the head of the State Advocate Office.

Artur Metani graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tirana in 1996, and completed postgraduate studies in Comparative Constitutional Law, Central European University, Budapest, Department of Legal Studies (1997). He studied at the University of Utah in the United States of America, where he graduated in Environmental and Natural Resources Law (1998).

He has worked as an external legal adviser to the European Union Delegation in Albania, as well as an external expert for EURALIUS and PAMECA.

Metani has also been a board member of the Helsinki Committee in Albania and has a long experience as professure at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Law.
