Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama has arrived in Novi Sad, Serbia, where he met with Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev.
The meeting comes ahead of an agreement that the three leaders are expected to sign about a “mini-Schengen” within Balkans. This meeting was also attended by Serbian PM, Ana Brnabic.
In September, PM Rama had announced during an interview given in New York that “a meeting between Albania, Serbia and North Macedonia is expected to take place to discuss cooperation between these countries. Of course, this meeting does not exclude other countries, but it’s an invitation for neighbouring countries to join forces”.
In this interview, Rama also said that the idea of a regional “mini-Schengen” is a top priority. TemA
