Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted today following accusations launched by the Democratic Party against the mayor of Shkodra for his alleged conviction for drug trafficking in Italy in 2003.
“Responsibility for each individual act is individual. It’s our job to react after an indecent individual act! I have never thought Valdrin could conceal the truth in relation to his criminal records, but until the truth comes out, Valdrin Pjetri and the Socialist Party will follow separate ways”, PM Rama wrote on social media.
Earlier during the day, the Democratic Party presented a document which it claimed was a document released by Florence Prosecutor’s Office, proving, according to this party, that the newly elected mayor of Shkodra, Valdrin Pjetri had been convicted for drug trafficking in the neighbouring country in 2003.
