Two justice officials were dismissed this Wednesday as part of the vetting process which has been going on for the past two years now.
The first one is Perparim Kulli, prosecutor at the Prosecutor’s Office for Serious Crimes. The second official was chief justice of Elbasan District Court, Sulejman Kulluri.
Kulluri could not pass the screening process due to problems with his assets.
The vetting of judges and prosecutors started two years ago, following a deal that political parties managed to reach with the aim of ridding the judicial system of corrupt officials. So far, the screening process has led to the dismissal of most officials, temporarily making judicial institutions dysfunctional. TemA
