The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha has presented his party’s programme on energy. In his address, the democrat leader said that once his party comes into power, it will reduce the price of electricity for 70% of Albanian households and that it will liberalise the energy market.
“We will reduce power supply bills by 70% for Albanian households by reducing prices for those households which consume up to 300 kw/hours a month,” he said.
The democrat leader added: “We will liberalise the energy market, by offering customers the possibility of choosing which operator they want as their supplier”.
According to the democrat chairman, businesses will also be supplied with cheaper electricity, making them more competitive and helping them employ more people.
The democrat leader also promised to unite the Albanian energy market with the Kosovo market. TemA
