Coronavirus has claimed the life of renowned Albanian painter Mustafa Arapi at the age of 70. The painter had been admitted to hospital several days ago.
The news of his passing was announced by his daughter, Dorina, who said that the painter had died at midnight.
Several days ago, the painter’s daughter called on PM Edi Rama and health minister, Manastirliu for her father to be given a more special medical treatment given his profile as a renowned figure of Albanian culture.
Born and raised in Tirana, Mustafa Arapi graduated in painting from the Academy of Arts in 1979. After his graduation, Arapi worked as a restorer of byzantine art at the Institute of Monuments of Culture. Arapi has also worked several years as professor at the Academy of Arts. TemA
