US discourages any acts of violence during opposition's protest

The US embassy has joined the calls of the international community and foreign embassies accredited to Tirana who have called for calm in today’s protest that the opposition is expected to hold in front of parliament.
These messages come amidst growing fears that Thursday’s protest may degenerate into violence and attacks against state institutions.
