Socialist whip meets top Romanian officials

Head of Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, is in an official visit to Romania. During this visit, the senior socialist official had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mihai Fifor, and with Minister of Finances, Eugen Teodorovic.

In a message on social media, Balla says that the excellent level of relations between the two countries was praised during the meeting.

According to Balla, Albania and Romania, as two NATO partners and allies, strongly believe that two consolidated states in the region contribute not only to its collective peace and security but also towards promoting democracy and freedom in other countries where there are conflicts.

Balla’s message:

During the meeting, we praised the excellent level of relations between our two countries. Romania supports the immediate start of EU-Albania membership talks.

As two NATO partners and allies, Albania and Romania, strongly believe that two consolidated states in the region contribute not only to its collective peace and security but also towards promoting democracy and freedom in other countries where there are conflicts, by closely cooperating with strategic partners such as the US and other NATO and EU countries.

During the meeting, we requested that Romania recognize Kosovo.

From the economic point of view, the growth and diversification of trade, the increase of Romanian investments in tourism, in the area of energy, construction of energy infrastructure, wind power industry, chemical industry, textile, agribusiness, etc., will be some of the priorities of bilateral economic cooperation.
